Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and analyze financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses for all properties and projects. • Conduct budget vs. actual comparisons and analyze financial metrics to support strategic decision-making. • Generate detailed cash flow forecasts, including for property acquisitions, leasing, and capital improvement projects.
• Property Accounting & Lease Management: Maintain general ledger accounts and conduct month-end closings, reconciliations, and journal entries for real estate assets. • Monitor and manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate lease payments, rent collections, and expense reimbursements. • Track and reconcile tenant and lease accounting transactions, including lease terms, escalations, and renewals.
• Development Project Accounting: Track and record all development-related expenses, ensuring accurate capitalization and compliance with accounting standards. • Manage budgets for ongoing development projects, tracking costs, monitoring funding sources, and preparing cost analyses. • Work with project teams to monitor project timelines, funding requirements, and cost-control measures.
• Facility Management Support: Collaborate with facility management teams to monitor expenses related to property maintenance, repairs, utilities, and vendor contracts. • Support facility budget planning, expense forecasting, and provide reporting for facility costs and expenditures.
• Compliance & Regulatory Oversight: Ensure compliance with industry standards, GAAP, and local regulations, and maintain audit-ready documentation. • Support external and internal audits by providing documentation, reconciliations, and other information as required. • Stay up to date on changes in real estate and leasing regulations to ensure organizational compliance.
• Cross-Department Collaboration: Partner with property management, leasing, and development teams to support financial decision-making processes. • Collaborate with asset management to evaluate investment opportunities and monitor property performance.
